Victory for Animals: Coca-Cola Ends Funding for Animal Testing! #7

Despite advancements in cruelty-free science, thousands of animals are still suffering due to chemical testing under REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals)—the European law regulating chemicals. According to PETA UK, this regulation has led to the deaths of millions of animals, including rabbits, mice, and fish, all in painful and unnecessary experiments.

These animals endure extreme suffering, often being force-fed chemicals, exposed to toxic substances, or killed for organ analysis—even when non-animal testing methods are available. The worst part? Many of these tests do not accurately predict human safety, making them both cruel and ineffective.

PETA is calling for urgent reform, demanding that EU and UK regulators prioritize modern, animal-free testing methods that are scientifically advanced and more relevant to human health. With cutting-edge alternatives already available, there is no excuse to continue outdated, inhumane practices.
The fight isn’t over! By raising awareness and pushing for legislative change, we can move towards a future where science is ethical and truly effective.
